Family Update

It has been a while since an update has been made

We have a lot going on right now. Bethany just started Day Care. She really enjoys it, especially playing with her new friends. On July 14th Bethany will get ear tubes, something her Daddy knows all to well. On June 24th we are leaving to go to the Robinow Convention (www.robinow.org) in Minneapolis, Minnesota. We have been seeking help, from various people and organizations, rasing money. Our goal is to raise $1600, so far we have raised $980 plus a $100 gas card the Salvation Army is donating. So we are headed in the right direction. We ask everyone to keep us in your prayers, not only for this trip but also with some financial difficulties we have managed to work through over these last couple of year. It just seems that since Lee was in the hospital and the Bethany coming early, it took a tole on us financially. With God guidance we have managed to work through it and head on the right direction. Knowing where we were a year or so ago and seeing how far we have come it is just a testament as to how awesome God is and how He has blessed our family. Every day may not be perfect but in the end we know everything will be ok.

Bethany's visit to Children's Hospital

Bethany had two appointments at Children's Hospital this past Tuesday. She first went to the Audiology department to have a follow-up hearing screening. They had her come back again because she failed her screening a couple of months back. We also went to our first appointment with the ENT doctor. He informed me that she has not had frequent enough ear infections to need ear tubes yet. She will return to both these clinics again in 6-8 weeks. They are concerned about her hearing because she passed the hearing test they did in the NICU, but she has failed every one since then. Her ENT doctor gave me some spray to hopefully help with her adenoids being inflamed. He is concerned about her growth on the growth chart because she has already begun to level off. I had to explain to him about her Robinow Syndrome that she was diagnosed with. The ENT doctor checked in her ears for any signs of fluid or infection and saw none. The next day when I took her to the pediatrician she had an infection in her right ear. That to me was very frustrating, because when they did her hearing screening it showed she had fluid on her left ear and her right ear was normal but a little stiff. So it is strange to me how she got an infection in her non-fluid-filled ear in one day. When they weighed her Wed. she was 17 pounds and 8 ounces. She is gaining weight. Well that's it for now.

A new week in the Crow house

We had a great weekend in the Crow House. Bethany played, Momma worked, Daddy also worked, and of course we spent time in the Lords House yesterday.

Keep Lee in your prayers this week. Thursday he has an appointment with a Cardiologist as a precaution. He has been experiencing some dizzy spells as of late so there is some concern.

To those of you wondering why I haven't posted anything new recently. You see we have not been able to take any new pictures because our camera broke. We were finally able to purchase a new camera so I will be making weekly posts with new pictures.

Enough with the excuses.

Bethany has been doing great!! She has started crawling, which means we have to make sure all the doors are closed throughout the house and of course block off the kitchen so she doesn't wonder there. She also loves ice-cream and banana pudding (especially from Jason's Deli).

Bethany experienced her first Halloween. She made it to one house and got one piece of Candy and then the night was over, it was time to come back home.

It is hard to believe but she will turn 1 year old this Saturday. It is awesome how God works. Bethany is definately a miracle from God.
